Live video: running an online home-based business

In this presentation, Elizabeth will discuss the formation and operation of home-based online businesses. She will draw on a series of studies that have involved interviews with over forty entrepreneurs operating such businesses, which cover online retailing, web development, IT support and business services.
Topics covered will include:

  • Do you need to have a business plan?
  • Is 'making it up as you go along' a recognised strategy?
  • What are the challenges faced by home-based entrepreneurs and how can these be addressed?
